Help Yourself!
From ABOUT CCPC Page:
"Most chronic pain sufferers want chronic pain solutions for whatever type of chronic pain condition they may have. It's as simple as that. They race in that direction without any type of structured guidance. The result of such an approach usually ends with some type of negativity – many times even with disaster! Chronic pain sufferers are desperate and in the quest for a chronic pain solution they can become victims of chronic pain predators, or those that prosper with the existence of chronic pain."
Most sufferers treat chronic pain like they would a sore throat–they go straight to the doctor for the cure. When it doesn't happen, they become grief-stricken. The real heartbreak occurs when they are put on the referral merry-go-round: sent to all different types of practitioners, they are labeled, stereotyped, denied medications, and still show no improvement. Lost in their heartbreak, they develop anger, and as they do, they hurt the ones they love, break relationships with loved ones, drink booze, and enter into a miserable existence. Sound familiar?
It's normal to want a cure for chronic pain, but if a cure were possible, it wouldn't be chronic pain. Relief is a more realistic goal. I'm not suggesting an elimination of doctors or other medical practitioners, just knowledge with how to deal with them so that the patient can harvest as much improvement as realistically possible; and involvement in other interaction that can help acquire that knowledge as well as grant other benefits. A lot more goes on out there in the chronic pain world than one might think. And there are many hungry predators waiting to direct you to roads that lead nowhere.
Get involved! Learn more about chronic pain here at our site and participate and network in the different areas where you can vent, learn, inform, and acquire the knowledge that can put you on the right path for help for your particular type of suffering.
REMEMBER: SUFFERERS OF COMPLETE CHRONIC PAIN CONDITION CAN BE HELPED!

Dear XXXX
I'm sorry it took so long for me to get back to you but I also have physical problems; I understand what you're feeling–No! actually I don't, and that's part of the problem, a big part of it. My physical problems are different than what you're experiencing. I have a good idea because I bear my own physical pain, but all of the people in your immediate circle of family and friends don't understand what you're going through–they can't possibly.
I started the CCPC Organization support to help people just like you because most sufferers complained of the physical demands of getting to support groups; it's a lot easier to connect and interact with people that share similar problems as you do, and as hard as it might be, you've got to get involved. You are most likely suffering from something that could get worse without the proper attention. Doctors don't want to hear it; they want to stamp you "reviewed" write you a prescription, and say "next?" Sad to say that the medical care for the suffering is limited–but it's out there; you just have to find it. Somebody out there who is observing the CCPC site, but not doing anything, has answers to some of your problems. And there's another person who has answers to that person's problems. But, your not connecting. Everybody wants to go to the doctor and take the 'magic pill" but it doesn't exist.
I recently uploaded a new site to give people an opportunity to communicate. If you really want to get help, go to the forum and leave a post. Go to war stories and leave your story. Become visible and people will respond.
I'm sorry I don't know of a support group in your area, but they are usually connected with hospitals, medical centers, etc.; those are good starting points to look for one if you are able to attend one. Again, feel free to inquire about one on our site's forum.
